Well! 3 Sleeps to go!
Today I went to the Church of St. James in James's street in Dublin and I got my Pilgrim Passport, then went to Guinness's Hopstore and received my very first Camino stamp, woohoo!!!! The journey begins. Well actually, not really, it was a bit of an anti climax in fact, as I just went home afterwards. I would have had a pint, but I don't like Guinness. I just didn't want the hassle  of traipsing into Guinness's first thing Friday morning before going to the airport.
The important thing is, I have the passport and can start in earnest on Friday. Roll On........
Tonight I will start to pack and maybe post the contents of my backpack here tomorrow.

  3. (Well, 3rd time is a charm. I feel like a parrot. If you get a message 3 times from me, you'll know what I'm talking about.)
Anyway, Josephine wishing you the best on your journey. I'd go with you if it was sometime next year! but seeing as this is a spur of the moment thing, they wouldn't give me the time off work - haha. So, don't overdo it, we tend to push ourselves over the limit; so be careful, and St. Christopher guide! Buen Camino!!

  4. Hi Jo, I thought you were leaving Friday and Margaret tells me it was last night. Sorry I missed you. I tried to stay awake last night so I could Skype you early in the morning there but I fell asleep. I just wanted to wish you all the best on your trip and to remind you that your are loved and that you will be in all our thoughts every day but I guess I can just do it here! I hope this posts because a few days ago I thought I had put a post up here but I don't see it! You made a brave decision to do this trip on your own, I don't think I could. So fair play to you, I am jealous as I would love to be going too. Anyway, I am looking forward to your daily updates and then I can pretend I am there....Lol! Remember don't take candy from strangers, always wear clean underwear and wash behind your years...Ha ha! I had to say something like that because I have no other advice to offer you! So best of luck and I hope you have the time of your life! Love you...your sis Anna
